Swarm Intelligence is an electrical engineering firm based in Christchurch, New Zealand, it is also a description applied to the "collective behaviour of decentralised, self-organised systems that we see in nature". Think of a flash of silver that ripples with seamless ease through the ocean when a school of fish change direction or the collective intelligence of flock birds as they weave and dive in choreographed murmuration. The engineers at Swarm Intelligence apply a similar principle to the projects they work on harnessing the shared power of collective experience. Their philosophy is one of collective thought, "so that when your plant or electrical system is maintained by us, you are not just benefiting from the knowledge of the person on site, but from the knowledge of the group behind that person when they come back to the Hive".
